ANTENNA NOT CONNECTED - SDARS

- When Monitored:
With the radio turned on.

- Set Condition:
When the antenna is disconnected at either end or if it is cut somewhere between the Satellite Receiver and the Satellite Multiplexer.





Diagnostic Test

1. ACTIVE DTC(S) PRESENT
Turn the ignition on.
With the scan tool, check for DTCs.
Does the scan tool display this DTC as active?

Yes

- Go To2

No

- The condition that caused this symptom is currently not present. Check for an intermittent condition by inspecting the related wiring harness for chafed, pierced, pinched, and partially broken wires. Also, inspect the related connectors for broken, bent, pushed out, spread, corroded, or contaminated terminals. Repair as necessary.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1. Body Verification Test.

2. SATELLITE ANTENNA NOT PROPERLY CONNECTED
Turn the ignition off.
Check to make sure the Satellite Antenna connector is properly connected at both the Satellite Receiver and at the Satellite Multiplexer.
Turn the ignition and the radio on and place the radio in Satellite mode.
Does this DTC display as active?

Yes

- Go To3

No

- Repair is complete.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1. Body Verification Test.

3. ANTENNA PHYSICAL DAMAGE
Turn the ignition off.
Check the Satellite Antenna for physical damage.
Is there any damage to the Satellite Antenna?

Yes

- Replace the Satellite Antenna.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1. Body Verification Test.

No

- Replace the Satellite Radio Receiver.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1. Body Verification Test.
