PCI BUS INTERNAL FAULT

- When Monitored:
With the ignition on.

- Set Condition:
A J1850 Bus internal fault is detected.





Diagnostic Test

1. PCI BUS INTERMITTENT CONDITION

NOTE: When this DTC is active, the DRB cannot communicate with any modules on the vehicle except the PCM or ECM.

NOTE: With the scan tool Erase DTCs. If this DTC resets and the DRB can establish communication with the Park Assist Module, replace the module.

WARNING: WHEN THE ENGINE IS OPERATING, DO NOT STAND IN A DIRECT LINE WITH THE FAN. DO NOT PUT YOUR HANDS NEAR THE PULLEYS, BELTS OR FAN. DO NOT WEAR LOOSE CLOTHING.

NOTE: The conditions that set the DTC are not present at this time. Attempt to duplicate the condition that caused the complete bus failure.

With the engine running at normal operating temperature, wiggle test the wiring harness and connectors while monitoring the scan tool
Look for related data to change or for the DTC to reset.
Search for any Technical Service Bulletins (TSB) that may apply.
Inspect the related wiring harness. Look for any chafed, pierced, pinched, or partially broken wires.
Inspect the related wiring harness connectors. Look for broken, bent, pushed out, or corroded terminals.
Were any of the above conditions present?

Yes

- Repair as necessary.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1. Body Verification Test.

No

- Test Complete.
