- When Monitored:
Continuously.
- Set Condition:
If the switch MUX circuit is over 4.9 volts for over 10 second, this code will set.
Diagnostic Test
1. DTC PRESENT
Turn the ignition on.
With the star scan, erase DTCs.
Cycle the ignition switch from Off to Run.
Operate the switch that had the DTC in all positions several times.
With the star scan, read DTCs.
Does the star scan display the same DTC?
Yes
- Go To2
No
- The condition that caused this code to set is not present at this time. Review wiring schematics and inspect related wiring for intermittent open condition.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1. Body Verification Test.
2. PASSENGER SEAT SWITCH MUX CIRCUIT VOLTAGE
Turn the ignition on.
With the star scan in Sensors, read the Seat Switch voltage of the switch that had the DTC.
Select the voltage displayed.
4.4 to 5.1 volts.
- Go To3
Over 5.2 volts
- Go To5
3. (P8) PASSENGER HEATED SEAT SWITCH MUX WIRE OPEN
Turn the ignition on.
Disconnect the Passenger Seat Switch connector.
Measure the voltage of the (P8) Passenger Heated Seat Switch MUX circuit and ground.
Is the voltage between 4.4 and 5.1 volts?
Yes
- Go To4
No
