MIC Messages Not Received

MIC MESSAGES NOT RECEIVED

For a complete wiring diagram Consult Diagrams/Electrical

- When Monitored:
At all times.

- Set Condition:
The Navigation Module will set this fault if it does not receive 5 consecutive bus messages from the MIC.





Diagnostic Test

1. DTC INTERMITTENT CONDITION
With the scan tool, erase DTCs.
Cycle the ignition switch from on to off and then back to on.
Turn the Navigation System on and try to select a location.
With the scan tool, read DTCs.
Does the scan tool display MIC MESSAGES NOT RECEIVED?

No

- The condition is not present at this time. Monitor scan tool parameters while wiggling the related wire harness. Search for any Technical Service Bulletins (TSB) that may apply. Visually inspect the related wiring harness and connector terminals.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1. Body Verification Test.

Yes

- Go To2

2. MIC DTC PRESENT
With the scan tool, attempt to communicate with the Instrument Cluster.
Were you able to communicate with the Instrument Cluster?

No

- REFER TO the No Response tests Communications - Verbose Codes
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1. Body Verification Test.

Yes

- Replace the Navigation Module.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1. Body Verification Test.
