DESCRIPTION

There are three door ajar switches, one at each door and one in the liftgate latch. The door switches are located in the B-pillar directly below the latch striker plate, and the liftgate switch is integral to the liftgate latch assembly. A door or body harness connector with a service loop connects each switch to the vehicle electrical system. The door ajar switches cannot be adjusted or repaired, and if faulty or damaged, the switch itself or the liftgate latch must be replaced as an assembly.
