Upper Oil Pan
REMOVAL - UPPER OIL PAN
1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Raise and support the vehicle.
3. Remove the lower splash shield screws (1) and the splash shield (2).
4. Remove the lower oil pan Engine Oil Pan - Removal.
5. Remove the front exhaust pipes Catalytic Converter - Removal.
6. Disconnect the oil level/temperature sensor harness connector.
7. Remove the front engine mount bolts (1).
8. Lower the vehicle.
9. Remove the engine cover Air Cleaner Housing - Removal.
10. Remove the dipstick tube Engine Oil Pan - Removal.
11. Install and engine support bracket.
NOTE: Be sure not to lift the engine to far. Damage to the coolant hoses, power steering lines, and A/C lines could occur.
12. Raise the engine using the support bracket.
13. Raise the vehicle.
14. Remove the 24 upper oil pan bolts (1).
15. Separate the upper oil pan from the engine block.
