Main Bow Cylinder

MAIN BOW CYLINDER

NOTE: If the hydraulic lines are being replaced, they must only be replaced as a pair.

NOTE: Left side procedure is described; right side is similar.

1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Remove the left side trunk trim.
3. Unlatch the D-ring and place the top in the over-center position.
4. Manually open the rear bow and secure it Convertible Top - Standard Procedure.
5. Manually open the tonneau cover and secure it in the upright position Convertible Top - Standard Procedure.
6. Disconnect the top of the main bow cylinder from the linkage, and rotate the cylinder up to gain access to the hydraulic lines.
7. Disconnect the hydraulic lines from the main bow cylinder and the power top hydraulic assembly Convertible Top - Standard Procedure.
8. Remove the left main bow cylinder hydraulic lines.
