Rear Bow
REAR BOW
NOTE: Hydraulic pressure in the convertible top system may deplete after 10 minutes. To prevent the top from lowering, press the convertible top switch momentarily after the system beeps. This will re-energize the hydraulic system.
1. Install the rear bow striker and shims. Tighten screws only finger tight at this time.
2. Position the rear bow in position and secure the screws. There should be a gap (3) of 6 mm (0.25 in.) between the top of the frame (2) and the rear bow (1). Torque screws to 6-8 Nm (4-6 ft. lbs.)
3. Attach the stay straps to the rear bow.
4. Install new rivets to hold the stay straps in place.
5. Position the rear defogger wiring harness through the stay straps and rear bow.
6. Install the rear bow weatherstrip.
7. Secure the top cloth to the rear bow.
8. Connect the rear defogger electrical connectors.
9. Adjust rear bow latch as necessary. Refer to the rear bow latch adjustment procedure.
10. Operate the convertible top and check for correct operation.
