1494-01 SPOILER SWITCH LED CIRCUIT SHORT TO VOLTAGE
- When Monitored: Continuous with the ignition on.
- Set Condition: When the Body Control Module (BCM) senses a circuit failure.

1. DISCONNECT THE REAR SPOILER SWITCH
Turn the ignition off.
Disconnect the Rear Spoiler Switch harness connector.
NOTE: Check connectors - Clean/repair as necessary.
Turn the ignition on.
Measure the voltage of the Rear Spoiler Diagnostic LED Control circuit at the Rear Spoiler Switch harness connector.
Is the voltage above 5.0 volts?
No
- Replace the Rear Spoiler Switch.
- Perform REAR SPOILER VERIFICATION TEST. Rear Spoiler Verification Test
Yes
- Go to 2
2. MEASURE THE VOLTAGE OF THE LED CONTROL CIRCUIT
Turn the ignition off.
Disconnect the BCM harness connector.
NOTE: Check connectors - Clean/repair as necessary.
Turn the ignition on.
Measure the voltage of the Rear Spoiler Diagnostic LED Control circuit at the Rear Spoiler Switch harness connector.
Is the voltage above 5.0 volts?
Yes
- Repair the Rear Spoiler Diagnostic LED Control circuit for a short to voltage.
- Perform REAR SPOILER VERIFICATION TEST. Rear Spoiler Verification Test
No
- Replace the Body Control Module. Body Control Module - Removal.
- Perform REAR SPOILER VERIFICATION TEST. Rear Spoiler Verification Test
