1132-00 ALARM TRIGGERED BY GLOVE COMPARTMENT





- When Monitored: Continuous with the ignition on.
- Set Condition: When the Central Locking Pump/Security System Module (CLP/SSM) senses a circuit failure.

Diagnostic Test

1. MONITOR THE CIRCUIT STATUS WITH THE SCAN TOOL
Turn the ignition on.
With the scan tool, monitor the Glove Box Switch state.
Does the scan tool display the Glove Box Switch state as OFF?

Yes

- Go To 4

No

- Go To 2

2. DISCONNECT GLOVE BOX SWITCH
Turn the ignition off.
Disconnect the Glove Box Switch harness connector.

NOTE: Check connectors - Clean/repair as necessary.

Turn the ignition on.
With the scan tool, monitor the Glove Box Switch state.
Does the scan tool display the Glove Box Switch state as OFF?

Yes

- Replace the Glove Box Switch.
- Perform VTSS VERIFICATION TEST. Vehicle Theft Security Verification Tests

No

- Go to 3

3. MEASURE THE RESISTANCE OF THE SWITCH SENSE CIRCUIT




Turn the ignition off.
Disconnect the CLP/SSM harness connector.
Measure the resistance of the Glove Box Switch Sense circuit at the CLP/SSM C3 harness connector.
Is the resistance below 5 ohms?

Yes

- Repair the Glove Box Switch Sense circuit for a short to ground.
- Perform VTSS VERIFICATION TEST. Vehicle Theft Security Verification Tests

No

- Replace the Central Locking Pump/Security System Module. Sentry Key Remote Entry Module - Removal.
- Perform VTSS VERIFICATION TEST. Vehicle Theft Security Verification Tests

4. INTERMITTENT WIRING AND CONNECTORS
The condition that caused this DTC to set is currently not present. Inspect the related wiring harness for a possible intermittent condition.

NOTE: Check connectors - Clean/repair as necessary. Poor pin to terminal connections can set DTCs.

NOTE: Check for any Technical Service Bulletins that may apply.

Using the wiring diagram/schematic as a guide, inspect the wiring and connectors specific to this DTC. Wiggle the wires while checking for shorts and open circuits.
Were there any problems found?

Yes

- Repair as necessary.
- Perform VTSS VERIFICATION TEST. Vehicle Theft Security Verification Tests

No

- The condition that caused this DTC to set is currently not present. Inspect the related wiring harness for a possible intermittent condition.
