B1BA8- OCM SEAT NOT CALIBRATED

- When Monitored:
With the ignition on.
- Set Condition:
The Occupant Classification Module (OCM) will set this DTC if Passenger Seat is out of calibration.
Diagnostic Test
1. DETERMINE ACTIVE OR STORED DTC
NOTE: Verify that the scan tool has the latest software update before proceeding with this test.
NOTE: Diagnose and repair all active codes before diagnosing stored codes.
NOTE: Ensure that the battery is fully charged.
Turn the ignition on.
With the scan tool, read OCM DTCs.
Does the scan tool display this DTC as ACTIVE or STORED?
ACTIVE
- Go To2
STORED
- Go To 3
2. VERIFY ACTIVE DTC
Verify that the front passenger seat is empty and the seat belt is retracted.
With the scan tool, erase all OCM DTCs.
Cycle the ignition off, then back on.
With the scan tool, read OCM DTCs.
Does the scan tool display this DTC as active?
Yes
- Replace the Passenger Seat Assembly.
- Perform *AIRBAG VERIFICATION TEST. Airbag System Verification Test
No
- The condition that caused the failure is corrected.
3. VERIFY STORED DTC
With the scan tool, erase all OCM DTCs.
Cycle the ignition off, then back on.
With the scan tool, read OCM DTCs.
Does the scan tool display this DTC as STORED?
Yes
- Replace the Passenger Seat Assembly.
- Perform *AIRBAG VERIFICATION TEST. Airbag System Verification Test
No
- No problem found at this time. Erase all codes before returning the vehicle to the customer.
