OCM Internal- ROM Checksum

B1106- OCCUPANT RESTRAINT MODULE INTERNAL- ROM CHECKSUM - OCM

- When Monitored:
With the ignition on.

- Set Condition:
This DTC will set when the module is initialized and the checksum is compared against the values in the ROM and there is a mismatch.





Diagnostic Test

1. CHECK FOR ACTIVE DTC
Turn the ignition on.
With the scan tool, read OCM DTCs.
Does the scan tool display this DTC as active?

Yes

- Replace the Passenger Seat Assembly.
- Perform *AIRBAG VERIFICATION TEST. Airbag System Verification Test

No

- Go to 2

2. VERIFY STORED CODE
With the scan tool, erase all OCM DTCs.
Cycle the ignition off, then back on.
With the scan tool, read OCM DTCs.
Does the scan tool display this DTC as stored?

Repair

- Replace the Passenger Seat Assembly.
- Perform *AIRBAG VERIFICATION TEST. Airbag System Verification Test
