B10B0-TRIGGER CIRCUIT 8 - NOT CONFIGURED - PIN 41/42 [ZH]
- When Monitored:
The Occupant Restraint Controller (ORC) monitors the terminal based on the module configuration pre-programmed file during module initialization process.
- Set Condition:
This DTC will set if the module detects a valid circuit resistance across the terminals 41 and 42.
Diagnostic Test
1. DETERMINE ACTIVE OR STORED DTC
NOTE: Ensure that the battery is fully charged.
Turn the ignition on.
With the scan tool, read ORC DTC.
Does the scan tool display active DTC: B10B0-TRIGGER CIRCUIT 8 - NOT CONFIGURED - PIN 41/42 [ZH]?
Yes
- Go To2
No
- No problem found at this time. Erase all codes before returning the vehicle to the customer.
2. INSPECT ORC PINS IN QUESTION
WARNING: To avoid serious or fatal injury, turn the ignition off, disconnect the battery and wait two minutes before proceeding.
Inspect the ORC harness connector pins 415 and 42 for valid circuit wiring and components.
Is there wiring and component connected to terminal 41 and 42?
Yes
- Go To 3
No
WARNING: If the Occupant Restraint Controller (ORC) is dropped at any time, it must be replaced. Failure to take proper precautions could result in accidental airbag deployment and serious or fatal injury.
Replace the Occupant Restraint Controller (ORC).
- Perform *AIRBAG VERIFICATION TEST. Airbag System Verification Test
3. VERIFY OCCUPANT RESTRAINT CONTROLLER (ORC) PART NUMBER (CODING)
NOTE: This ORC is pre-programmed (CODED) for this vehicle and cannot be re-configured.
Verify the ORC part number is correct for this vehicle.
Repair
WARNING: If the Occupant Restraint Controller (ORC) is dropped at any time, it must be replaced. Failure to take proper precautions could result in accidental airbag deployment and serious or fatal injury.
Replace the Occupant Restraint Controller (ORC).
