SAFETY RECALL F45 - HOOD LATCH STRIKER

NOTE:
This recall applies only to the above vehicles built through October 18, 2006 (MDH 10-18-16).
IMPORTANT:
Many of the vehicles with in the above build period have already been inspected or repaired and, therefore, have been excluded from this recall.

^ The hood latch striker on about 650 of the above vehicles may break and allow the hood to open while driving. This could cause a crash without warning.
^ To correct this condition, the hood latch striker must be replaced.

Global Recall System(GRS) has been developed to provide dealers with an up-to-date list of involved vehicles by recall number and by dealer code. Owner's known to DaimlerChrysler are also listed. Involved vehicles will be removed from GRS within several days of submitting repair claims.

Your dealer's VIN list for each recall displayed can be sorted by: VIN sequence, city, postal code, phone number or those vehicles that according to our records were unsold at time of the recall launch.
