SAFETY RECALL F51 - REPROGRAM HVAC MODULE

MODELS:
2007 (JS) Chrysler Sebring

NOTE:
This recall applies only to the above vehicles equipped with an automatic temperature control air conditioning system (sales code HAB) built through December 11, 2006 (MDH 12-11-09).

^ The software programmed into the Heating Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) module on about 1,400 of the above vehicles may cause the windshield defrosting and defogging functions to become inoperative. This can decrease the driver's visibility under certain driving conditions and result in a crash without warning.

^ To correct this condition, the HVAC module must be reprogrammed (flashed).

DEALER VIN LISTS Located On DealerCONNECT - Global Recall System (GRS)

Global Recall System (GRS) has been developed to provide dealers with an up-to-date list of involved vehicles by recall number and by dealer code. Owners known to DaimlerChrysler are also listed. Involved vehicles will be removed from GRS within several days of submitting repair claims.

To use the GRS in DealerCONNECT, you first need to click on the "Service" tab and then in the Reports and Information section click on "Global Recall System". Your dealer's VIN list for each recall displayed can be sorted by : VIN sequence, city, postal code, phone number or those vehicles that according to our records were unsold at time of the recall launch.
