Removal

REMOVAL
1. Open decklid.

2. With the help of an assistant, support opposite side being worked on.





3. Using a small flat bladed tool, or equivalent, release the retaining clips while pulling the ball socket away from the ball stud.






NOTE: Lift the clips only enough to release the ball studs.

4. Remove the support cylinder.

5. Remove the gas prop-rod lock caps.





6. Remove prop-rod (2) from mounting studs (1).
