DISCUSSION
If the radio and/or clock lose memory when the ignition key is turned off and/or the power door locks and/or RKE are inoperative, the Ignition Off Draw (IOD) fuse may be in the storage mode instead of the customer mode or not properly seated in the Integrated Power Module (IPM).
IGNITION OFF DRAW (IOD) FUSE/VEHICLE PREP
The IOD fuse is located in the Integrated Power Module (IPM), locked in a fuse holder (Fig. 1). The IOD fuse is biased to one side within the fuse holder. This was done to ensure that when the fuse holder is rotated 180 degrees in its location, the IOD fuse is either in storage or customer mode. When the dealership receives the vehicle the IOD fuse will be in the storage mode (Fig. 2). Before delivering the vehicle to the customer, the dealership must reposition the IOD fuse by rotating the fuse holder 180 degrees in its cavity. The IOD fuse will not be aligned with the rest of the fuses in the row it is in when in the customer mode (Fig. 1). If the IOD fuse is incorrectly left in the storage mode when the customer receives the vehicle, then all IOD operated systems will function only when the ignition key is in the RUN position.
NOTE:
Ensure that the IOD fuse is locked in the IOD fuse holder, and that the IOD fuse holder is fully seated in the IOD fuse cavity.
