PDM-40-LIN COMMUNICATION FAILURE





For a complete wiring diagram refer to Diagrams/Electrical.

- When Monitored:

Whenever battery power is supplied to the LIN module (on the window motor).

- Set Condition:

There are no LIN bus messages received by the door module for over five seconds.





Diagnostic Test

1. DTC PRESENT

Turn the ignition on.

With the scan tool, erase DTCs.

Cycle the ignition switch from Off to Run.

Operate the passenger window switch in all positions several times.

With the scan tool, read DTCs.

Does the scan tool display 40-LIN COMMUNICATION FAILURE?

Yes

- Go To 2

No

- The condition that caused this code to set is not present at this time. Operate the motor several times more to ensure it does not fail. If the code returns, replace the Passenger Window Motor (regulator).
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1. Body Verification Test

2. OTHER LIN BUS MESSAGES

With the scan tool, read DTCs.

Does the scan tool display any other LIN DTC's?

Yes

- Refer to the symptom list and repair any other LIN Bus circuit codes.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1. Body Verification Test

No

- Replace the Passenger Window Motor (regulator).
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1. Body Verification Test
