No PCM Distance Messages Received

NO PCM DISTANCE MESSAGES RECEIVED





For a complete wiring diagram refer to Diagrams/Electrical.

- When Monitored:

With the ignition on.

- Set Condition:

The Distance Pulse message from NGC Engine is missing.





Diagnostic Test

1. DTC IS ACTIVE

With the scan tool Erase DTCs.

Cycle the ignition off for at least 1 minute.

Turn the ignition on.

With the scan tool read DTCs.

Does this DTC reset?

Yes

- Go To 2

No

- Go To 3

2. NO COMMUNICATION WITH PCM

Turn the ignition on.

With the scan tool attempt to establish communication with the PCM.

Can the scan tool establish communication with the PCM?

Yes

- Inspect the wiring and connectors relative to this circuit. If any problems are found, repair as necessary. Otherwise, replace the Park Assist Module.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1. Body Verification Test

No

- Refer to appropriate testing.

3. INTERMITTENT CONDITION

The conditions necessary to set this DTC are not present at this time.

Using the wiring diagrams/schematics as a guide, inspect the wiring and connectors.

While monitoring the scan tool data relative to this circuit, wiggle test the wiring and connectors.

Look for the data to change or for the DTC to reset during the wiggle test.

Were any problems found?

Yes

- Repair as necessary.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1. Body Verification Test

No

- Test Complete.
