MSM-TCM Messages Not Received

MSM-TCM MESSAGES NOT RECEIVED

For a complete wiring diagram refer to Diagrams/Electrical.

- When Monitored:

With the ignition in unlock.

- Set Condition:

The module does not receive any messages from the TCM. Time to mature for the MHSAPM is 5 seconds.





Diagnostic Test

1. ATTEMPT TO COMMUNICATE WITH THE TCM

Turn the ignition on.

With the scan tool, attempt to communicate with the Transmission Control Module.

Was the scan tool able to I/D or communicate with the TCM?

Yes

- Go To 2

No

- Refer to the Communication category for the related symptom(s).
- Perform POWER SEAT SYSTEM VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1. Power Seat System Verification Test

2. MODULE

With the scan tool, erase DTC's.

Cycle the ignition switch from off to on and wait approximately 1 minute.

With the scan tool, read DTC's.

Did this DTC reset?

Yes

- Replace the module which set the DTC.
- Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1. Body Verification Test

No

- Test Complete.
