IPM-0A-ABS (ANTILOCK BRAKE SYSTEM MODULE) COMMUNICATION FAULT

For a complete wiring diagram refer to Diagrams/Electrical.

- When Monitored:

Continuously with the ignition in run.

- Set Condition:

The IPM does not receive any messages from the ABS. Time to mature for the BCM, DDM and PDM is 5 seconds. Time to mature for the IPM is 10 seconds.





Diagnostic Test

1. ATTEMPT TO COMMUNICATE WITH THE ABS

Turn the ignition on.

With the scan tool, select ECU View.

Verify that the ABS is active on the bus.

Is the ABS active on the bus?

Yes

- Go To 2

No

- Perform the No Response diagnostic procedure.

2. CHECK FOR ADDITIONAL COMMUNICATION RELATED DTC'S

With the scan tool, select Network View and select Advanced.

Is there more than one module with active DTC's "Logged Against" the ABS?

Yes

- Replace/update the ABS.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1. Body Verification Test

No

- Replace/update the module that set this DTC.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1. Body Verification Test
