IPM-06-MIC (Cluster) Communication Fault

IPM-06-MIC (CLUSTER) COMMUNICATION FAULT

For a complete wiring diagram refer to Diagrams/Electrical.

- When Monitored:

Continuously with the ignition in run.

- Set Condition:

The module does not receive any messages from the MIC (Cluster). Time to mature for the BCM, DDM and PDM is 5 seconds. Time to mature for the IPM is 10 seconds.





Diagnostic Test

1. ATTEMPT TO COMMUNICATE WITH THE MIC (CLUSTER)

Turn the ignition on.

With the scan tool, select ECU View.

Verify that the MIC (CLUSTER) is active on the bus.

Is the MIC (CLUSTER) active on the bus?

Yes

- Go To 2

No

- Perform the No Response diagnostic procedure.

2. CHECK FOR ADDITIONAL COMMUNICATION RELATED DTC'S

With the scan tool, select Network View and select Advanced.

Is there more than one module with active DTC's "Logged Against" the MIC (CLUSTER)?

Yes

- Replace/update the MIC (CLUSTER).
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1. Body Verification Test

No

- Replace/update the module that set this DTC.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1. Body Verification Test
