SYMPTOM
DIMMING CODE RX FAILURE - ATC

WHEN MONITORED
With the ignition on.

SET CONDITION
If the Automatic Temperature Control does not receive the VF Dimming message from the Body Control Module for more than 5 seconds, then the VF display will default to full brightness and the DTC will set.

POSSIBLE CAUSES
- Check code(s) present
- Dimming message not seen at rate expected
- Automatic temperature control
- Body control module - no DIM message to automatic temperature control
- Wiring causing intermittent condition
