SYMPTOM
NO RIGHT SIDE IMPACT SENSOR 1 COMMUNICATION

WHEN MONITORED
The ACM continuously communicates with the Right Side Impact Sensor 1 over the sensor signal circuit. The sensor communication and onboard diagnostics are powered by the ACM signal.

SET CONDITION
The code will set, if the ACM and Right Side Impact Sensor 1 do not establish and maintain valid data communications.

POSSIBLE CAUSES
- Signal circuit shorted to battery
- Signal circuit short to ground
- Right side sensor circuits shorted together
- Ground circuit open
- Signal circuit open
- ACM. passenger side impact sensor
- Repair is complete
- Stored code or intermittent condition
- Active code present
