Hood Shock / Support: Service and Repair

GAS PROP

REMOVAL

1. Open the hood.
2. Support the hood with a suitable prop device.




3. Remove the gas prop lock (1) on the upper end (2).




4. Remove the gas prop lock (1) on the lower end (2).
5. Remove gas prop from vehicle.

INSTALLATION




1. Place gas prop (2) in position on the vehicle.
2. Install the lower lock cap (1) on the gas prop (2).




3. Install the upper lock caps (1) on the gas prop (2).
4. Verify hood lid operation.
