Hood Hinge: Service and Repair

HINGE

REMOVAL




1. Remove the hood from the hinge by removing the upper bolts (1) then the lower bolts (2).




2. Remove the inner front fender (1).
3. Mark the position of the hood hinge on the inner panel.
4. Remove the bolts (2) and then remove the hood hinge.

INSTALLATION




1. Install the hood hinge, then install the bolts (2). Tighten to 8 N.m (70 in.lbs.).
2. Install the inner front fender (1).




3. Install the hood by installing the lower bolts (2), then installing the upper bolts (1). Tighten to 10 N.m (88 in.lbs.).
