NO SOUND FROM RIGHT DOOR SPEAKERS

No Sound From Right Door Speakers:

POSSIBLE CAUSES
- Amplified right door speaker (+) circuit open
- Amplified right door speaker (-) circuit open
- Power amplifier

DIAGNOSTIC TEST

1. MEASURE RIGHT DOOR SPEAKER CIRCUIT RESISTANCE




Turn the ignition off.
Disconnect the Power Amplifier harness connector.

NOTE: Check connectors - Clean/repair as necessary.

Disconnect the Right Door Speaker harness connector.

NOTE: Check connectors - Clean/repair as necessary.

Connect a jumper wire between cavity 1 and cavity 2 of inline harness connector C231.
Measure the resistance between cavity 7 (connector B) and cavity 17 (connector B) of the Power Amplifier harness connector.

Q: Is the resistance below 5.0 ohms?

YES: Replace the Power Amplifier. Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Body Verification Test
NO: Repair the Amplified Right Door Speaker (+) or (-) circuit for an open. Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Body Verification Test
