Ignition on.

SET CONDITION
The Sentry Key Remote Entry Module (SKREEM) detects an ignition key micro-chip malfunction.

POSSIBLE CAUSES
- Defective ignition key micro-chip

Diagnostic Test




1. WITH THE DRB III(R), READ DTCs

Turn the ignition on.
With the DRB III(R), record and erase DTCs.
Turn the ignition off.
Turn the ignition on.
With the DRB III(R), read DTCs.

Q: Does the DRB III(R) display an Invalid Transmitter DTC?

YES: Replace the Ignition Key. Perform SENTRY KEY VERIFICATION TEST. SKREEM Verification
NO: The condition that caused this DTC to set is currently not present. Inspect the related wiring harness for a possible intermittent condition. Perform SENTRY KEY VERIFICATION TEST. SKREEM Verification
