SYMPTOM
VEHICLE BODY STYLE MISMATCH

WHEN MONITORED
When the ignition is on, the ACM monitors the PCI Bus for the VIN message containing the vehicle body style from the Powertrain Control Module. The PCM transmits the VIN message every 14 seconds.

SET CONDITION
With ignition on, If the ACM does not receive 2 consecutive matching (vehicle Body Style) VIN messages on the bus the code will set.

POSSIBLE CAUSES
- PCM, PCI communication failure
- Vehicle body style mismatch
- ACM, vehicle body style mismatch
- Stored code or intermittent condition
- Active code present
