A/C High Pressure (HP) Relief Valve Available
OVERVIEW:
This bulletin involves replacing the A/C HP relief valve instead of the compressor assembly if necessary.
MODELS:
2001 - 2004 (ST) Sebring Coupe/Stratus Coupe
SYMPTOM/CONDITION:
The high pressure relief valve on the A/C compressor has been made available as a service part. If the valve requires replacement, there is no need to replace the complete compressor assembly. The valve can be serviced separately. Please see diagnosis procedure below.

SERVICE PART KIT
Two different types (gold or silver color) of high pressure relief valves were used on the affected vehicles. Both valves will be included in service part kit MN177247. When replacing the valve, the dealer technician must confirm the color of the valve (Fig. 2) on the vehicle and then select the same colored valve from the kit.
NOTE:
The two valves are different sizes and cannot be interchanged.
