DTC - 12 Diagnostic Procedures

Encrypted Codes are not identical or not Registered

DTC SET CONDITION
The encrypted code which is sent from the transponder is not identical as the encrypted code which is registered in the immobilize-ECU.

NOTE: DTC 12 is always set together with MFI system DTC P1610.

TROUBLESHOOTING HINTS
- The encrypted code in the ignition key being used has not been properly registered.
- Malfunction of immobilize-ECU

DIAGNOSIS

Was the encrypted code registered?

YES: Replace the immobilize-ECU and then re-register the encrypted code.
NO: Register the encrypted code.
