P0404- EGR POSITION SENSOR RATIONALITY (6 CYLINDER)

WHEN MONITORED

SET CONDITION
The EGR flow or valve movement is not what is expected.

POSSIBLE CAUSES
- Good trip equal to zero
- Resistance in (K6) 5-volt supply
- (K6) 5-volt supply circuit output
- (K35) EGR sensor signal circuit open
- EGR assembly
- (K35) EGR solenoid control circuit
- Intermittent condition
- (K235) EGR sensor signal circuit open
- (k235) EGR sensor signal circuit shorted to ground
- (k4) sensor ground circuit open
- EGR assembly (ground)
- PCM
