SUBJECT:
Mini-Trip Computer Display Resets To U.S. Values After Metric Has Been Selected

OVERVIEW:
This bulletin involves reprogramming the Body Control Module (BCM).

MODELS:

2002 - 2003 (JR) Sebring Convertible/Sebring Sedan/Stratus Sedan

NOTE:
THIS BULLETIN APPLIES TO VEHICLES EQUIPPED WITH A MINI-TRIP COMPUTER (SALES CODE LET).

SYMPTOM/CONDITION:

Display of metric values for the mini-trip computer has been selected but intermittently (once every few months) at key-on will reset and display U.S. values instead of metric values.

DIAGNOSIS:

If the vehicle operator describes the Symptom above, perform the Repair Procedure.





EQUIPMENT REQUIRED:

REPAIR PROCEDURE:

1. Connect a battery charger and set as close to 14 volts charge as possible.

2. Reprogram the BCM using the MDS2 (Mopar Diagnostic System) and the DRB III(R) (Scan Tool). The MDS2 and DRB III(R) must be operating with CIS/ISIS CD2120 or higher. Follow the instructions on the DRB III(R) screen to complete the BCM reprogramming procedure.
