FLASHER DIAGNOSIS
Should any function of the multi-function switch fail, the entire switch assembly must be replaced. (Refer to LAMPS/LIGHTING - EXTERIOR/MULTI-FUNCTION SWITCH - REMOVAL).
SWITCH DIAGNOSIS To test the switch:
Fig.22 Disconnect And Isolate Battery Negative Cable:
1. Disconnect and isolate the battery negative cable.
2. Remove the upper and lower steering column shrouds.
3. Disconnect the switch connector.
Multi-function Switch Continuity Test:
Multi-Function Switch Dimmer Control Resistance:

Using an ohmmeter, test for continuity (no resistance) between the terminals of the switch as shown in the Multi-Function Switch Continuity Test table for diagnosis. Refer to,, and for connector terminal locations.
