Mode Door Cable Replacement

REMOVAL
The Mode Control Cable can be removed and installed without having to remove the instrument panel from the vehicle.
1. Disconnect and isolate the battery negative cable.

2. Remove instrument panel center stack bezel.

3. Remove center air duct.

4. Remove heater-A/C control head and disconnect cable.
5. Disconnect the mode control cable end from the mode door lever.
6. Remove the mode control cable through the instrument panel heater-A/C control opening.

INSTALLATION
The Mode Control Cable can be removed and installed without having to remove the instrument panel from the vehicle.
1. Position the mode control cable through the instrument panel heater-A/C control opening.
2. Reach through the instrument panel center air duct opening to access and reconnect the mode control cable end to the mode door lever.
3. Install and tighten the screw that secures the mode control cable housing. Tighten the screw to 2.3 Nm (20 in. lbs.).
4. Install the instrument panel center stack bezel.
5. Reinstall the battery negative cable.
