Battery Holddown

REMOVAL
1. Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable remote terminal from the remote battery post.
2. Raise and support the vehicle.
3. Remove the left front wheel and tire assembly from the vehicle.
4. Remove battery splash shield. Refer to the Body for the procedure.
5. Remove the short bolt from the battery hold down and remove the hold down.

INSTALLATION
1. Install the battery hold down and install the hold down bolt. Torque to 8.5 Nm (75 in. lbs.).
2. Install the left front wheel and tire assembly on the vehicle. Refer to the Tires/Wheels for the procedure
3. Install battery splash shield. Refer to the Body for the procedure
4. Connect the negative battery cable.
