Temperature Sensor (Gauge): Testing and Inspection







1. Drain the engine coolant.
2. Remove the engine coolant temperature gauge unit.
3. Immerse the unit in 70°C (158°F) water to measure the resistance.

Standard value: 104 +/- 13.5 ohms

4. It within the standard value, the sensor is OK. Re-install it, then check the engine coolant temperature gauge. If not within the standard value, replace it.




5. After checking, apply the specified adhesive around the thread of engine coolant temperature gauge unit.

Specified sealant:
MOPAR Part No.4318034 or equivalent

6. Fill engine coolant.
