SYMPTOM
P1899 - PARK/NEUTRAL SWITCH STUCK IN PARK OR GEAR

WHEN MONITORED
With the transmission in PARK, NEUTRAL, or DRIVE and not in Limp-in mode.

SET CONDITION
This code is set if the PCM detects an incorrect Park/Neutral switch state for a given mode of vehicle operation.

POSSIBLE CAUSES
- P/N switch sense circuit open (with EATX)
- P/N switch sense circuit shorted to ground
- P/N switch wiring harness observable defect
- TRS defective
- PCM defective (P/N switch)
