SYMPTOM
P1492 - BATTERY TEMPERATURE SENSOR VOLTAGE TOO HIGH

WHEN MONITORED
With the ignition key ON.

SET CONDITION
The PCM senses the voltage from the BTS to be either below 0.5 volts or above 4.9 volts for 3 seconds.

POSSIBLE CAUSES
- BTS signal circuit open
- BTS ground circuit open
- BTS signal circuit shorted to ground
- BTS signal circuit short to voltage
- BTS wiring harness intermittent defect
- BTS wiring harness observable defect
- P1492 BTS defective
- P1493 BTS defective
- P1492 PCM defective
- P1493 PCM defective
