When Monitored and Set Condition:
P0120-THROTTLE POSITION SIGNAL

When Monitored:
Whenever the engine is running.

Set Condition:
This DTC is set if the throttle angle goes out of range or if throttle angle changes abruptly (i.e., faster than the throttle body motion could occur)

THROTTLE POSITION SENSOR CHECK ENGINE LAMP ON
CHECKING SYMPTOMS AND POSSIBLE CAUSES
LOW BATTERY VOLTAGE
TCM GROUND CIRCUIT OPEN
CONDITION REQUIRED TO SET CODE ARE NOT PRESENT AT THIS TIME
WIRES BETWEEN TPS AND TCM INTERMITTENT
TCM THROTTLE POSITION SENSOR INPUT SHORTED
TPS SENSOR GROUND CIRCUIT OPEN
TPS SIGNAL CIRCUIT OPEN
TPS VOLTAGE CHANGE NOT SMOOTH
