SYMPTOM
ENGINE CRANKS DOES NOT START

POSSIBLE CAUSES
- Engine mechanical problem
- Powertrain fuses blown
- Fuel pump module defective
- Fuel pump ground circuit open
- Fuel pump relay output circuit open
- Fused B+ circuit to fuel pump relay open/high resistance
- Open/high resistance in the ASD relay output circuit
- Fuel inlet strainer plugged
- Fuel pump module defective
- Fuel pump relay defective
- PCI bus open circuit to SKIM
- SKIM fused B(+) open
- SKIM fused ignition switch output circuit open
- SKIM ground circuit open
- No CMP sensor signal when cranking engine
- No CKP sensor signal when cranking engine
- CKP & CMP sensors out of sync
- Fuel filter/pressure regulator defective (high)
- Fuel filter/pressure regulator defective (low)
- Fuel system disabled by VTSS/SKIM
- Ignition coil primary resistance out of specs
- Ignition coil secondary resistance out of specs
- Open circuit between PCM & DLC
- PCI short to ground
- PCI short to voltage
- Problem with ignition coil drivers
- Secondary indicators are present
- SKIM response failure
- Spark plug cable(s) resistance out of specs
- Suspect module short to ground
- Suspect module short to voltage
