Combination Switch: Testing and Inspection
Turn Signal And Hazard Warning Flasher Diagnosis:
Should any function of the multi-function switch fail, the entire switch assembly must be replaced. Refer to Turn Signal and Hazard Warning Flasher Diagnosis table.
Multi-Function Switch Continuity Test:
Combination Flasher Connector (A):
Multi-Function Switch Connector (B):
Windshield Wiper/Washer Switch Connector (C):
To test the switch, first disconnect the negative battery cable, then remove the upper and lower column shrouds to gain access to the switch connector. Remove switch connector. Using an ohmmeter, test or continuity (no resistance) between the terminals of the switch as shown in the Multi-Function Switch Continuity Test Chart for diagnosis. Refer to the above images for connector terminal locations.
