SYMPTOM
P1390 - TIMING BELT SKIPPED 1 TOOTH OR MORE

WHEN MONITORED
With the engine running, every 44 ms an inhibit condition is looked for (wide open throttle, large change in rpm, large change in MAP, cold engine, insufficient start to run time, rpm outside of given windows).

SET CONDITION
If an inhibit condition does not exist, the misalignment between the camshaft and the crankshaft is monitored. When the camshaft position sensor is offset from the crankshaft position sensor one tooth or more.

POSSIBLE CAUSES
- Valve timing out of specification
- Valve timing not out of specs
