Lateral Stabilizer Rod: Description and Operation
LATERAL LINKSDESCRIPTION
There are two tubular lateral links on each side of the rear suspension. The lateral links have rubber isolator bushings at each end. They are attached to the rear suspension crossmember, and the spindle using a bolt and nut assembly at each end. The rear lateral link incorporates a threaded wheel alignment toe adjustment sleeve.
OPERATION
The lateral movement of the rear spindle is controlled by the lateral links connecting the front and rear centerline of the spindle to the rear suspension crossmember. The threaded adjustment sleeve of the rear link allows for setting rear wheel alignment toe adjustment.
