Initial Inspection and Diagnostic Overview

1. Disconnect the vacuum hose from the intake manifold EGR vacuum nipple. Connect a hand vacuum pump to the nipple.




2. Start the engine and gradually raise the speed. The vacuum reading on the pump should remain constant.
