Temperature Sensor (Gauge): Testing and Inspection





1. Drain the engine coolant.
2. Remove the engine coolant temperature gauge unit.
3. Immerse the unit in 70° C (158° F) water to measure the resistance.
Standard value: 104 ± 13.5 Ohm
4. If within the standard value, the sensor is OK. Re-install it. Resistance Inspection. If not within the standard value, replace it.




5. After checking, apply the specified adhesive around the thread of engine coolant temperature gauge unit.
Specified sealant:
MOPAR Part No. 4318034 or equivalent
6. Fill engine coolant.
