DISCUSSION:
The convertible top cover material will stretch shortly after the initial installation in the vehicle assembly plant. In many cases this stretching of material will cause the top header to be positioned too far forward in relation to the windshield header. To prevent the resulting difficulty in closing and latching the top, the top header position in relation to the windshield header should be checked during New Vehicle Preparation. If the top header is mis-aligned the top frame cam should be adjusted (Figure 1).
