P0320 No Crank Reference Signal at PCM
SYMPTOMP-0320 NO CRANK REFERENCE SIGNAL AT PCM
WHEN MONITORED
4 Cylinder: During engine cranking, with battery voltage less than 11.5 volts and manifold vacuum present. 6 Cylinder: With the ignition in either the start or run position and battery voltage between 4-15 volts.
SET CONDITION
4 Cyl: No signal from crankshaft position (CKP) sensor during engine cranking or there is a camshaft position sensor signal w/o a CKP sensor signal. 6 Cyl: No crankshaft position sensor signal is detected when engine vacuum present or cam signals present.
POSSIBLE CAUSES
- CKP def
- CKP sensor ground circuit open
- CMP def
- Flywheel damaged
- 8-volt supply circuit open
- 8-volt supply circuit short to ground
- CKP sensor signal circuit open
- CKP sensor signal circuit short to ground
- CMP & CKP sensor wiring harness intermittent def
- CMP & CKP sensor wiring harness observable def
- PCM def (no crank)
- PCM defective (CMP and CKP)
