SYMPTOM/CONDITION:

The following conditions may exist:

ATC Temperature Drift:
On long trips of 60 minutes or more in cold ambient temperatures (00 to 30° F, -1 to 18° C) the A/C system drifts to a cooler setting in the "AUTO" mode. This may be accompanied by temperatures too cool in the upper body area or too hot in the foot area.

ATC Snowflake Symbol:
The ATC snowflake symbol turns on in the ATC control display during cool weather (as low as 45° F, 7° C) in the "AUTO" mode.

Manual A/C Temperature

Control Settings:
Air from the climate control system is too cool in cold weather when the temperature control is set between the 1/2 to almost full heat setting (highest temperature). This may occur when the operator lowers the temperature setting after initially heating the vehicle.

DIAGNOSIS:

If any of the above conditions exist or owner complains of any of these conditions perform the Repair Procedure. Performing the Repair Procedure will change all of the conditions listed above. There is no way to change any single condition.
