Odometer: Service and Repair

The instrument cluster must be removed for Odometer service. Refer to Instrument Cluster Replacement procedures.

The odometer and PRNDL are separate assemblies mounted with two screws each.

REMOVAL

Negative Battery Cable Remote - Terminal:

1. Open hood and disconnect the negative battery cable remote terminal from the remote battery post.
2. Remove instrument cluster from vehicle. Refer to Instrument Cluster Replacement.
3. Remove five cluster back cover retaining screws and remove the cover.
4. Unplug connectors from printed circuit board.
5. Remove cluster mask/lens from instrument cluster. Refer to Mask/Lens Replacement.
6. Remove two screws to Vacuum Fluorescent (VF) display Odometer and remove from cluster.

INSTALLATION
For installation, reverse the above procedures.
